A new Sketch at Let's Scrap

Hop on over to ....Lets Scrap to check out this weeks sketch.

I couldnt wait to scrap some pics I took this weekend at the Santa Claus Parade. So sweet! I used the Echo Park Paper line, Everybody Love Christmas! The journal tags are Elles Studio

Before the parade, my friend and neighbor Anne had her famous cookie exchange, and this year was no exception...think pink was the theme, and Kayleigh and I even put some pink in our hair! Nothing too extreme, but my pink is still washing out! After the cookie exchange, we headed to our local parade, which I love because it is at night...so much fun. Then it was back to Stew and Anne's house for the party. They out did themselves again this year, and we had santa visit...the kids were so excited when santa and his reindeers footsteps were on the roof. Ty surprised me and sat on Santa, and so did Kayleigh without screeming! Thank you again Anne and Stew for such a fun night...!

Well it is December 1st and the first day of my December daily...lets see how far I go with it this year!!!! I will post once I have a few days complete! Today starts with the opening of the advent calendar from Nana to Tyler!

Jessica Sprague has another Free Class!

Check out Jessica's site and sign up for another free class.
I did a photoshop course on Jessica's site, and it was awesome. I was creating digital layouts in no time. I found photo shop was not one of those programs I could just play and learn, I needed some help!
The great thing is for her free classes you do not have to use photo shop. They are usually hybrid classes where you would get PDF's to print out and use for the project.

Challenge 75 @ Let's Scrap

Debby has come up with a great challenge from the Design team over at http://www.letsscrap.ning.com/
http://letsscrap.ning.com/forum/topics/challenge75-1
So here is my take on the challenge, and the sketch I based it on. I had so much fun doing it, and I was able to turn 8's and 9's into all the letter a's that I needed, and use up some stash in the process!

Thanks for looking,
Mandy

This one: Use your sticker stash on a Let's Scrap sketch!

How many sheets of letter stickers do you have lying around that you don't use anymore simply because you're out of the 'a', 'y' or 'e'? I know have quite a few.

This my my challenge: Try to use the left overs and see if you can make it into the letter you need. The 'w' most of the times can be used as a 'm', simply turn it upside down. The 'u' can be a 'n', the 'q' a 'b', a 'p' becomes a 'd' (only lower case). The upper case 'Q' can be easily transformed into an 'O' by cutting of those little extensions. An 'i' can be made out of almost any letter. The 'y' can be made out of a 'x', just cut the right bottom leg of.
By looking at your letters you can probably see some more possibilities.

Besides that you can also combine different types of stickers in a title, or use one uppercase letter when you're out of lower case. You can also replace missing letters by stamps or die-cut letters.

My challenge for you: Try to make a layout based on a Let's Scrap sketch with the tips I gave you. I can not wait to see what you all come up with. Enjoy! Don't forget to tag your LO with 'challenge75' (no space)

Next week Saturday (11-12) my DS is going to draw a name and the winner will receive a prize. You have time to upload your layout until Friday the 11th of November.

Challenge 74

So I decided this week to get in gear and get a quick layout done. So I was checking out Pats Challenge this week over at www.letsscrap.ning.com, and she made it very easy for us!
Instructions:
For this week's challenge I want to keep it as easy as 1-2-3 so
(at least) 1. patterned paper, (at least) 2. different embellishments and (at least) 3. pictures. The only other rule is to use a Let's Sketch sketch.

So I used sketch: 5-12-10 for some pics we took on our tacky tourist weekend in Niagara Falls not too long ago!
